Skype Click to Call is a program that enables users to make and receive phone calls via the Internet. It provides a standard Internet Protocol (IP) interface, which enables individuals to make a call through a dial-up connection, by connecting a fax machine, or over the Internet. This application is available for Windows 95, 2020, XP, Vista, and Windows 7 computers. Users can connect via Skype.com to make calls with other Skype users around the world, and the application lets them chat with each other over Skype.
The application requires that a user is connected to a broadband Internet connection in order to access it. When the user connects, they are asked whether they want to create an account or use the free service, and then they are presented with a page that will ask for their username and password. On this page, the user is asked to sign in using a username and password that they created during their sign-up process for the free service. There is also a link to sign out from the application. This is a good way to avoid viruses, spyware, and other harmful things from getting onto the computer. If the user is running antivirus software, there should be a system protection mechanism that will prevent it from interfering with the application.
The application works best when running on a Windows XP system. Microsoft does not recommend that a Windows Vista or Windows 7 computer be used in this way because the application is not compatible with these operating systems. It is also important to note that since the application uses TCP/IP, a user may encounter problems if they are running a router that has not been properly configured for the service. Windows XP users will need to open a command prompt and run the command "ipconfig /flushdns" to remove any IP addresses associated with the router that is being used by the computer to access the internet. This should resolve the issue.
